Professor Nikos Hadjichristidis has been appointed Chair of NCRI  by the Greek Deputy Minister for Research and Innovation Professor Costas Fotakis who is Director of the Institute of Electronic Structure and Laser (IESL) at FORTH (Foundation for Research and Technology-Hellas) and Professor of Physics at the University of Crete.​
